Hey d00dz, listen to this...i need all of your input on what could be a chance for great exposure for the band

So...

My dad recently told me that he was contacted by some television show, im not sure which, that is looking for a Halloween themed intro to their show. The show is going to be about spooky things apparently, and theyve recruited various producers/musicians, which includes my dad, and they've asked them to submit music for it. I believe the submission date is somewhere in October, and my dad was wondering if we were interested in writing a song for the show/recording it, and submitting it.

NOW, ive offered this to all of you for your opinions. Because im not sure what to do. On one hand, this could be a great chance of exposure for the band. My Dad said that we could easily reach an audience of 30,000 kids on the first day it airs. HOWEVER, on the other hand, there are ways this could be not the greatest idea. Personally, if i saw a band of our genre exposing themselves through a television show, i wouldnt really be into it. Thats actually how the band Metro Station hit it big - theyre a pop-rock group much like the All American Rejects and they did a song for some show on The N, except i immediately dismissed them as a band because of my seeing that. THAT BEING SAID they suck, and we dont, so had they been a good band, than i may have been interested.

So, i told my dad that we would think about it. Jon, the engineer at the studio, also thinks we should do it because he mentioned how any chance for exposure is a good thing. If you guys would like to do it, than i will look into it and we'll go for it. If not, we can just say SCREW IT. And dont feel too pressured to come up with a decision immediately, we've got plenty of time to debate it.

Actually yeah the idea was first to do Vampires, but i was like "well the majority of it was written by John and i dont know if he would be down for that..."

but if youre up for Vampires then lets do it. to be honest i was leaning towards doing it...so I'll get the details from my dad
